talking (always), traveling (as much as possible), photograph taking (regularly), wine drinking (often), classroom teaching (previously), running (occasionally), reading (frequently), texting (usually), challenge making (accidentally) self proclaimed princess who loves her friends, family, the colour pink, chocolate and cats (in no particular order).
Who am I?
I am a 33 year old (not quite sure how that happened) qualified teacher from London England. Having lived in Toronto, Canada for two years, I found myself unexpectedly on a plane to South Africa to take on a new challenge. Six months later I found my life taking a on new direction, focussing on my dream to set up a social enterprise offering grass roots level, community oriented volunteer opportunities. When I am not blogging, thats what I spend my time doing. You can find out more about Global Handprints here.
In between all of that I seem to have found myself traveling the country in a caravan with a boy and two dogs.
Why am I blogging?
I started this blog as a way to keep friends and family at home up to date with where I am and what I am doing. I am hoping that, in addition to doing that and giving people an insight into my life, it will grow to become a space in which I can write about responsible travel, volunteering, getting off the beaten track and really exploring new places.
In case you wondered, all pictures used on this blog have been taken either by myself or by the boy. Should you wish to use them please let me know rather than just downloading them. Thanks! 🙂
If you are a travel blogger and would like to write about any of these topics (or something else I might like!) please send me an email.
